Cheryl George is the Director of Human Resources at Visiting Nurse and Hospice for Vermont and New Hampshire (VNH). Cheryl joined VNH in February 2022.
In this role, Cheryl is responsible for aligning HR strategy with business objectives, culture and values of the organization. She partners with management to develop and implement strategies that build a talented and exceptional workforce supporting organizational alignment and a positive work climate. Cheryl leads talent management, organizational effectiveness/design, compensation/rewards and efforts to retain and recruit qualified talent. She leads the administration of human resource policies, procedures and programs that support business goals and strategies across the agency.
Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Syracuse University, and a Masters of Arts in Human Resource Management from Framingham State University. She is also a Senior Certified Professional through the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP).
Prior to joining VNH, Cheryl worked at Gann Academy, as the Director of Human Resources, where she led in the domains of employee relations, organizational strategy, recruitment, retention, policy development, benefits administration, regulatory compliance and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
