Pediatric Care

Maternal/Child Health

Whether you’re an expectant mom or a child in need of care, VNH is there for you. Our Maternal/Child Health services focus on wellness and clinical support. Nurses who are experienced in pediatrics and family health care work to:

  • educate and support parents regarding growth, development, feeding, immunizations, and more
  • identify a medical home for children and parents
  • link families to essential resources, including state support programs and community agencies.

Pediatric Palliative Care

A comprehensive team of nurses, aides, counselors, and specialists provide specialized care to infants, children and adolescents in homes across our region who experience conditions that limit or threaten their lives. We provide support to parents and families, educating them on how to monitor and manage their child’s condition.

Nurse-Family Partnership Program

Through this free, voluntary program, our specially trained nurses support first-time mothers until their babies are two years old. Any woman who is pregnant with her first child, meets low-income requirements, and lives within the service area can enroll in the program.

Nurse-Family Partnership is a research-based approach to promoting better birth outcomes, reaching key developmental milestones, and building stronger, more economically independent families.
