Ways to Give

Memorial Donations

Gifts in memory of a loved one create a lasting tribute and provide current and future support for the VNH. Families are notified of gifts made in memory, and you receive a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution.

Gifts in Honor

A Gift in Honor is a perfect way to thank a family member, nurse or friend.  Gifts in Honor are a meaningful gift in honor of a birthday, at the holidays, or for special occasions such as a graduation or anniversary.

Your Gift in Honor will be acknowledged with a special letter sent to the honoree. You will also receive a receipt from the VNH confirming your tax-deductible gift.

Gifts of Securities

A stock portfolio can carry substantial capital gain. With careful planning, you can reduce or even eliminate federal capital gains tax while supporting the VNH. Learn more about how simple it can be to make a gift of securities.

Planned Giving

Leaving a philanthropic legacy is a powerful and meaningful way to give back. Planned gifts can be constructed today to benefit the VNH at a future date.

To leave a gift in your will, simply share this sentence with your attorney or financial planner:

“I bequeath $_____ or _____% of my estate to Visiting Nurse and Hospice for Vermont and New Hampshire, P.O. Box 881, Brattleboro, VT, 05302-0881.”

Learn more about the benefits of planning today for both you and the charity you care about. A bequest or life-income gift can be simple to arrange, and provide a legacy for your community.

Make a difference in the lives of others by donating your time to support VNH. There are many ways to volunteer and VNH offers specialized volunteer training programs and support services.

Share Your Story

Patients and families often share stories about ways they were impacted by the care VNH provided. These are deeply gratifying to read and a testament to our commitment to enriching lives by delivering outstanding home health and hospice services. If you’d like to share your experience with VNH, write us a letter or send us an email and we’ll include it in a special section on our website.
