Dear Friends and Supporters:
On July 1, 2016, Visiting Nurse and Hospice for Vermont and New Hampshire (VNH) will officially become an affiliate of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health, following a vote of approval by the VNH Board of Trustees on May 24, 2016.
This new partnership will strengthen our ability to provide excellent home health and hospice care to people in the communities we serve. VNH and Dartmouth-Hitchcock will work together to improve systems of care as we improve individual lives. Our shared goal is to create a seamless healthcare experience for patients.
We’re proud to say that VNH and Dartmouth-Hitchcock jointly pursued this partnership. Dartmouth-Hitchcock recognizes our unique skills and proven record of “Leading the way home” as the region’s foremost provider of clinically excellent, truly compassionate home health and hospice care.
Our reputation for excellence is built on our staff’s expertise and tireless dedication to improving lives. Credit for our success belongs to every person who works at VNH, providing or supporting care, and we thank them for ensuring a bright future.
In the coming months and years, our affiliation will provide a number of important benefits to both Dartmouth-Hitchcock and VNH – and to those we serve:
VNH will continue to work closely with all of the towns, hospitals, and providers with whom we’ve built trusted relationships over the years. This affiliation is designed to make us stronger and more responsive. We will remain the same vibrant, not-for-profit organization we have been since 1907, with separate finances and corporate structure – and we will continue to be responsible for our own operating performance.
We will continue to rely upon the passion, commitment, and generosity of our donor base to help support and fulfill our critically important mission. At VNH we have been helping our neighbors “Come home to excellent care” for over 100 years, and we want you to know that the best is yet to come.
